WHAT?Ogoki Forest Map
By law (Ontario Regulation 319/20 under the Crown Forest Sustainability Act), the Ministry of Natural Resources (MNR) requires forest management units in Ontario to be audited at least once every ten to twelve years.  These Independent Forest Audits (IFA) are conducted by independent audit firms selected through a competitive process. Both the Forest Manager and MNR are audited. The 2025 audit for the Ogoki Forest has been awarded to Caliber Consulting - which has partnered with Forest Check.

WHEN?
The Independent Forest Audit preparation has begun, with a field audit scheduled to take place August 12-14, 2025.

WHERE?
The Ogoki Forest is located in the Nipigon Geraldton District in the Northwest Region of the Ministry of Natural Resources.

Forest management procedures including the preparation of the 2020-2030 Ogoki Forest Management Plan and all forest management operations conducted on  the Ogoki Forest between April 1, 2017 and March 31, 2025 will be audited.
